Purpose

The Achewon Nimat lodge provides the Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil ceremonies for Achewon Nimat lodge. We guide the new candidates in their ordeal. We also provide ceremony support to the various scouting units of the San Francisco Bay Area council as needed.

The ceremony team provides guidance in national OA standards to the village ceremony teams and assists them in developing meaningful ceremonies to celebrate Cub Scout advancement, Webelos to Scout crossover, and OA Callout ceremonies.

We strive to maintain the mystery and impact of the OA Ceremonies for those who undergo them as part of attaining honor within the Order of the Arrow. To this end, actual images of the ceremonies and details about them are never discussed in public forums.

The ceremony team is open to all youth and adult members of Achewon Nimat lodge. Those members who have sealed their membership by undergoing the Brotherhood ceremony are eligible to be part of the Brotherhood ceremony team. Those who have completed their Vigil ordeal are eligible to be part of the Vigil ceremony team.
