The purpose of the Ordeal is for an Order of the Arrow Candidate to become an Arrowman. The Ordeal starts on a Friday evening and is over by mid-day Sunday.
What to bring
The Ordeal is a weekend of service and fellowship. You should only bring:
- Backpack
- Camping essentials
- A sleeping bag
- Work clothes
- A jacket
- Full field uniform
- Personal hygiene items
- Hiking boots

Congradulations to those Scouts who have been selected to join our lodge, and to those Adults who accepted their selection to assist the youth of the Order of the Arrow. Our lodge serves the San Franciso Bay Area council in many ways. But we also have a good time, fellowship, and enjoy special activities. I hope that you will soon participate in your Ordeal and become members of Achewon Nimat lodge of Scoutings Honor Camper Society, the Order of the Arrow..

I would like to personally thank the adults who have committed themselves to take up yet another volunteer task to aid the Scouting Youth. Your dedication, and willingness to serve and have fun is what allows this aspect of Scouting to contribute to the development of tommorows youth. I look forward to greeting each new member and welcoming you to the Order of the Arrow.
